VPBankS Participates in Establishing Crypto Asset Exchange CAEX with an 11% Stake
As Vietnam advances its regulatory framework and pilot programs in the digital and crypto asset sectors, traditional financial institutions are accelerating their strategic layouts in this space. VPBank Securities Joint Stock Company (VPBankS, the securities subsidiary of VPBank) has participated in the founding of Vietnam Prosperous Crypto Asset Exchange Joint Stock Company (CAEX), holding an 11% equity stake in the venture.

Initial Capital Structure and Shareholders
According to business registration records and public corporate filings, CAEX was established with an initial registered capital of 25 billion VND. The shareholding structure is as follows:
VPBankS (VPBank Securities): Contributed 2.75 billion VND, holding an 11% stake.
LynkiD: Contributed 12.5 billion VND, holding a 50% stake.
Future Land: Contributed 9.75 billion VND, holding a 39% stake.
CAEX is headquartered in Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, Vietnam.
Strategic Layout and Ecosystem Synergy
As a key initiative within VPBank’s broader financial ecosystem, the establishment of CAEX aims to align with Vietnam’s digital economy transformation and the regulatory trends surrounding compliant crypto assets. Prior to this, VPBank’s ecosystem already encompassed commercial banking, consumer finance, securities, and insurance. The addition of CAEX expands its footprint into crypto asset trading and digital finance services.
Industry analysts note that traditional financial institutions and licensed securities firms entering the crypto exchange space through equity stakes will help enhance compliance oversight and risk management capabilities, while laying a strong foundation for future business operations as Vietnam rolls out its crypto asset pilot policies.(Vietnam Crypto Exchange)
