Is TCEX Exchange only open to Vietnamese investors?
While TCEX is designed as a multinational/global digital asset platform in terms of technology and business model, its initial stage and compliance focus are heavily tailored to the Vietnamese market. It primarily serves the domestic market and investors compliant with local regulations, rather than being fully open globally.

Compliance and Pilot Stage (Locally Focused)
TCEX (initiated by institutions such as TCBS) is actively participating in the Ministry of Finance’s pilot compliance program for virtual asset exchanges in Vietnam. During this pilot phase, due to constraints involving KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and fiat gateways (such as Vietnamese Dong, VND), its core services are primarily focused on local individual and institutional investors in Vietnam.
Technical Architecture and Global Positioning
TCEX’s architectural design and digital asset (e.g., RWA) trading functions are not restricted to closed, local hardware. In theory, non-Vietnamese investors can also register and use the platform, provided they pass the identity verification (KYC) required by the platform and meet the compliance requirements of supported countries or regions.
Vietnam crypto exchange TCEX Target Audience
The TCEX platform primarily connects with the local Vietnamese banking system and compliant VND cash flows. Its goal is to bring local crypto trading demand—which previously flowed to unlicensed overseas platforms—under the national financial regulatory framework.
Restricted Regions and Limitations
Similar to most international crypto exchanges, TCEX complies with international anti-money laundering and financial sanction regulations. It generally does not offer services to sanctioned countries or jurisdictions with strict legal bans or specific regulatory restrictions on crypto trading.
