VIX Securities Accelerates Layout in Digital Assets: VIXEX Secures Pilot Qualifications and Advances Capital Increase
As the Vietnamese cryptocurrency market enters a critical preparation phase ahead of the official launch of its pilot program, VIX Securities Joint Stock Company disclosed for the first time at its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders the latest progress and future investment plans for its affiliate, the VIXEX digital asset exchange.
Approved for Pilot Qualifications, Competing for an Official License VIXEX has received regulatory approval, becoming one of five qualified companies selected for the preparation phase of Vietnam’s cryptocurrency exchange pilot program. The company has approximately one year to fully meet standard requirements across technical infrastructure, legal compliance, financial capacity, and governance standards to secure an official operating license.
Substantial Additional Investment to Maintain Ownership Stake Established in August 2025 with an initial charter capital of 1 trillion VND, VIXEX is 15% owned by VIX Securities. To maintain its 15% stake following VIXEX’s capital increase, VIX Securities plans to inject an additional 1.35 trillion VND, funded through a rights issue to existing shareholders and internal capital.
Optimistic Industry Outlook, Funds Allocated as Planned VIX Securities remains bullish on the robust growth of the crypto industry driven by the expanding digital economy, noting that its strategic positioning in VIXEX will help broaden its business ecosystem and generate long-term revenue. Having completed its capital raise in May, the company is allocating the funds—aside from the capital injection into VIXEX（Vietnam crypto exchange）—entirely toward its core proprietary trading and margin lending operations. All capital disbursements are currently proceeding according to schedule.
