What Risk Control and Regulatory Mechanisms Does the VIXEX Platform Have?
VIXEX is included in the first batch of compliant Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) pilots planned by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, in coordination with the State Bank of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security. In line with Vietnam’s policy orientation to tighten restrictions on unlicensed offshore crypto platforms, VIXEX is committed to bringing trading activities, capital flows, and user information into the national legal and anti-money laundering (AML) regulatory sandbox.
The risk control and regulatory mechanisms of VIXEX are centered around a national-level pilot compliance framework and traditional finance-grade risk management systems, detailed as follows:
I. Regulatory Mechanisms
1.Official Vietnamese Pilot Policy Compliance: VIXEX operates under the framework of Resolution No. 05/2025/NQ-CP issued by the Vietnamese Government. This resolution implements a 5-year controlled pilot program for crypto asset trading aimed at establishing standardized market norms.
2.Anti-Money Laundering and Identity Verification (AML/KYC): In accordance with the requirements of relevant Vietnamese financial regulators, VIXEX enforces strict Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) screening to prevent cross-border money laundering and illicit funds inflow.
3.Investor Protection: The pilot policy explicitly protects the legitimate rights and interests of both domestic and foreign institutions and individuals. The platform is required to register with regulatory authorities and regularly submit operational and financial compliance reports.
II. Risk Control Mechanisms
1.Compliance DNA from a Traditional Brokerage Background: Its parent company, VIX Securities, a licensed listed securities firm in Vietnam, brings its stock market-tested financial risk control expertise, clearing mechanisms, and risk isolation measures to VIXEX.
2.Non-Traditional Security Risk Prevention: Given the cybersecurity risks unique to crypto asset technology, the platform is equipped with defense systems and on-chain monitoring technology to perform real-time tracking and interception of abnormal large transactions, frequent transfers, and addresses linked to illicit activities.
3.Asset Custody and Risk Isolation: Vietnam crypto exchange VIXEX employs a segregated hot and cold wallet custody mechanism alongside multi-signature technologies to minimize capital security risks resulting from hacker attacks or private key compromises.
