Will the VIXEX Exchange Offer Contract Trading?
As an emerging platform in the pilot phase of Vietnam’s digital assets, VIXEX focuses primarily on tokenized digital assets and cryptocurrency trading.
VIXEX has planned a contract trading (derivatives trading) business, but the timing of its launch and its trading mechanisms will be strictly subject to Vietnam’s regulatory framework.

Based on VIXEX’s strategic layout and the regulatory environment of the Vietnamese crypto market, its contract trading business features the following characteristics:
1. Clear Product Roadmap In VIXEX’s product line planning, derivatives/contract trading (Futures/Derivatives) serves as one of its core sectors alongside spot trading (Spot Trading). As an exchange backed by traditional brokerage capital (VIX Securities), offering advanced financial derivatives—such as perpetual contracts and delivery contracts—is a crucial tool for attracting institutional capital and hedge funds.
2. Phased Rollout: Spot First, Contracts to Follow
-
Phase 1 (Compliant Sandbox Pilot Period): Pursuant to pilot requirements set by the Vietnamese government (such as Resolution No. 05/2025/NQ-CP), the exchange will focus primarily on spot trading and compliant fiat (VND) on/off-ramps during its initial launch, establishing KYC/AML standards and asset custody security.
-
Phase 2 (Compliant Derivatives Launch): Once regulatory sandbox testing matures and risk management mechanisms are fully established, VIXEX will gradually roll out leverage and contract trading features.
3. Traditional Finance-Grade Risk Control and High-Concurrency Matching Engine Unlike overseas offshore exchanges, Vietnam crypto exchange VIXEX’s contract trading will utilize a CeFi high-concurrency matching engine paired with a hybrid custody mechanism. This setup focuses on mitigating liquidation and negative balance risks under high leverage, ensuring adherence to a risk management system that meets banking and brokerage standards.
