CAEX announces a 5-step registration and KYC process
On September 3, 2026, CAEX published instructions for registering an account and verifying identity (KYC) for Vietnamese individuals. The process is designed in 5 steps and is carried out on the application.
What do I need to prepare for KYC CAEX?
According to the official CAEX guidelines, users need to prepare:
- The phone has a camera.
- The chip-embedded citizen ID card is still valid.
- The phone number being used to receive OTPs.
- Personal email address.
CAEX states that the entire process typically takes about 10–15 minutes .
The process consists of 5 steps.
The account opening process is displayed in progress from step 1/5 to step 5/5 on the app.
Users begin by providing their phone number, then follow the instructions to provide information and verify their identity.
After KYC was approved, CAEX also developed a process for signing account opening contracts using digital signatures.
CAEX uses FPT-CA digital signatures.
According to the Help Center documentation, the account opening contract was electronically signed using a digital signature provided by FPT-CA and authenticated via OTP.
CAEX’s announcement of the registration process shows that the platform has moved deeper into the user onboarding phase before going live.
