According to information released in March 2026, the Ministry of Finance received a total of 7 applications for licenses.
Following the initial review process, 5 applications were deemed complete and valid according to regulations, including those from businesses related to:
- CAEX .
- TCEX .
- VIXEX .
- LPEX, later renamed SCEX .
- Vietnam Digital Assets Joint Stock Company.
The Ministry of Finance then sought feedback from relevant agencies on these documents.
A valid application is not a license.
This is a key distinction to consider when tracking the legal progress of CAEX.
The fact that the application was deemed complete and valid indicates that the business has passed a step in the review process, but it does not mean that CAEX has been granted a license to operate a cryptocurrency trading market.
