According to Mr. Hòa, investors and organizations have long been accustomed to decentralized finance (DeFi) and anonymous transactions on the network, leading to numerous consequences.
Therefore, transitioning to a public, transparent model is a mandatory step to protect the interests of domestic investors and implement measures to prevent and combat illegal financial activities.
If Vietnam does not effectively control anti-money laundering issues and continues to remain on the FATF gray list, it is estimated that annual GDP could suffer losses of 3 – 5%.
This is a very significant figure, requiring the market to be operated transparently to safeguard national reputation and finances.
