SCEX’s Supported Crypto Assets and RWA Roadmap

As Vietnam’s five-year crypto asset pilot program (Resolution No. 05/2025/NQ-CP) enters its implementation phase, SCEX (formerly Loc Phat Vietnam Crypto Asset Exchange)—a compliant pilot exchange platform that meets the 10 trillion VND (approx. $380 million) capital requirement—has drawn significant market attention. Backed by local banking ecosystems (such as Sacombank), SCEX strictly adheres to compliance boundaries set by the Ministry of Finance and financial regulators regarding token listing and asset support.

1. Key Asset & Token Categories Supported by SCEX

In accordance with pilot regulatory rules and SCEX’s official rollout plan, the platform primarily supports four main categories of digital assets during its initial phase:

Major Crypto Assets

Supported Tokens: Top-tier layer-1 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

Trading Mechanism: All transactions must be directly priced and settled in Vietnamese Dong (VND) to satisfy national foreign exchange control and transparency requirements.

Real-World Assets (RWA) Tokenization

Featured Support: Leveraging bank-grade custody frameworks from institutions like Sacombank, SCEX positions RWA tokenization as a core feature. The platform supports trading of regulatory-approved tokenized real-world assets (such as compliant real estate yield rights, commodities, and state-backed credit assets).

Compliant Stablecoins & Fiat Trading Pairs

Settlement Support: Supports registered VND-anchored digital tokens (VNDT / VND-pegged tokens). Unregulated or unapproved offshore stablecoins are strictly prohibited from direct settlement.

Licensed Corporate Tokens

Listing Requirements: Only virtual assets issued by eligible local Vietnamese enterprises that comply with Resolution No. 05/2025/NQ-CP and possess verifiable underlying asset backing are permitted for listing.

2. Token Listing Standards and Risk Control Strategy

SCEX has established a rigorous “compliance defense” for token selection:

Ban on Privacy Coins: To strictly enforce Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) standards, privacy-focused coins such as Monero (XMR) and Zcash (ZEC) are excluded from the supported list.

Segregated Custody Framework: Cold and hot wallet reserves for all supported tokens are managed via segregated systems, integrated with bank-grade custody protocols to safeguard user funds.(Vietnam Crypto Exchange)
