New TCEX CEO: Strong Platforms Are Key to Bringing Capital Back Home

Vietnam’s digital asset market is entering a critical developmental stage. As the government actively advances pilot transactions, the preparation of the Techcom Digital Asset Exchange (TCEX) has drawn significant attention. According to Ngo Duy Bien, the newly appointed CEO of TCEX, the core challenge facing the current market is not a lack of participants, but rather how to effectively attract and channel trading capital back into the country.(Vietnam crypto exchange)

The Coexistence of Leading Demand and Infrastructure Gaps

With a massive user base and high crypto asset adoption rates, Vietnam demonstrates strong market potential. However, prior to the implementation of official regulatory pilots, the majority of trading flowed to overseas platforms or peer-to-peer over-the-counter channels, leaving the domestic compliance ecosystem lagging and posing risks to investor protection. Building a regulated, secure, and transparent local service matrix has become an urgent task.

Rebuilding Market Trust Through Infrastructure

Drawing on his extensive Wall Street experience, Ngo Duy Bien pointed out that trust in finance cannot be built on empty promises alone, but must rely on solid underlying infrastructure. Only platforms equipped with robust technical security, strict risk control, independent asset custody, and clear regulatory compliance frameworks can genuinely win the long-term trust of users.

Moving Beyond Pilots Toward Standardized Maturity

Drawing lessons from international markets, Vietnam is exploring a standardized path through phased pilot mechanisms. In the future, as technology governance improves and compliance frameworks mature, digital asset exchanges with core competitiveness will not only successfully recapture capital lost abroad, but will also further integrate into the broader capital markets, contributing to the high-quality development of the real economy.
