When will TCEX officially launch?
TCEX (a cryptocurrency exchange under Vietnam Technology and Commerce Bank) has not yet announced a specific official launch and trading date, but it has entered the final compliance sprint stage before its launch.
As the Vietnamese government’s regulatory policies on cryptocurrencies and digital assets are still being adjusted and drafted, the compliance progress and official operation time of relevant trading platforms in the region are generally affected by the pace of policy approval.
Based on the latest regulatory progress of Vietnam’s cryptocurrency pilot program, TCEX’s latest progress and expected launch logic are as follows:
1. Regulatory Approval Progress (Key to Launch)
First Round of Preliminary Review Passed: In May 2026, TCEX officially became one of the first compliant exchanges to receive preliminary approval from the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance (based on Resolution No. 05/2025/NQ-CP on the Pilot Cryptocurrency Market).
Sandbox Access Opened: The Vietnamese government has clearly required the promotion of cryptocurrency trading platforms to enter the Sandbox pilot operation.
2. Official Technical and Personnel Preparations
The system is ready for launch: At the end of Q1 2026, the CEOs of TCEX’s parent company, Techcombank, and its member securities firms confirmed that the platform’s key technical infrastructure, risk control system, and core operations team were all in place.
Everything is ready except for the license: Officials stated that the platform can immediately announce its official launch once the Vietnamese regulatory authorities issue the final pilot license.
Vietnam crypto exchange TCEX is ready to officially commence operations.
According to a TCEX representative, the company has completed all preparations in terms of technical systems, operational processes, and human resources, and is preparing the necessary documentation to meet capital, infrastructure, and information system security requirements. It will immediately deploy cryptocurrency trading market services upon obtaining formal permission.
TCEX’s successful completion of the first round of assessments is not only a significant milestone in the company’s development roadmap but also a positive signal for Vietnam to form and develop a transparent cryptocurrency market with a clear legal framework and strict regulation.
