CAEX-what is level 4 information system security?
In Vietnam, information systems are classified into 5 levels based on the degree of impact that may occur when the system experiences a failure or is compromised by cybersecurity threats. Among these, level 4 applies to systems where a failure could cause particularly serious harm to public interests, social order, safety, or serious harm to national security.
To meet the requirements of this level, the system must have strict protection measures in both technology and management processes, including access control, data protection, cybersecurity monitoring, incident prevention and response, as well as the ability to restore operations in the event of disruptions.
Why is level 4 important for cryptocurrency asset exchanges?
These platforms handle user data and transaction activities, and may also manage and custody customers’ cryptocurrency assets. Therefore, protecting the system plays a crucial role in limiting risks and maintaining safe operations.
According to Resolution 05/2025/NQ-CP, the information technology systems of organizations providing cryptocurrency asset services must meet level 4 information system security standards before being put into operation and use.(Vietnam Crypto Exchange)
CAEX has completed the level 4 information system security assessment, marking an important step forward in preparing technological infrastructure and meeting information security requirements.
